Stay for the discoveries.

Our messages build on one another. Open a chapter, explore what we have been learning, and hear the moments behind each discovery.

Freedom begins with the Son.

The freedom Jesus gives begins with belonging to Him.

What kind of freedom is Jesus offering?

Scripture at the heart of this exploration

We began the year with Jesus’ promise: “The truth will set you free.” But freedom from what? And how does that promise meet us when our lives still carry burdens?

The opening messages bring two passages into conversation. John 8:31–36 connects freedom with the Son; Matthew 11:28–30 brings us to Jesus’ invitation to the burdened. Together, they open a deeper question: what changes when we come to Christ, even before our circumstances change?

Rest that reaches deeper

In Pastor Daniel’s message, the invitation to rest reaches into the burden of sin. That distinction matters. We might first hear “rest” as an escape from responsibility or hardship. His treatment directs our attention toward a burden that a quieter schedule cannot resolve.

This gives the year a starting point to return to: freedom through the Son is something we must learn to understand and live. The next exploration can then ask how learning Jesus’ gentleness changes the burdens we place on other people.
